Do you know any articles that address ethics issues in collaborative research?
There are many ethical issues that arise in conducting equity-oriented, collaborative community-based research which are not adequately addressed in any professional codes of ethics that I have seen, nor are they adequately addressed in guidelines for Protection of Human Subjects reviews. I am looking for articles that address those issues. I also am looking for researchers and ethicists who have grappled with these issues, written about them, or are working on them in some way. Any ideas?

Outside of authorship, I think little has been published on the ethical issues in collaborative research. I recommend Chapter 8 of Steneck’s introduction to RCRhttp://ori.dhhs.gov/education/products/RCRintro/c08/0c8.html

You might find the Action Research blog useful. One of the labels is “ethics,” for which there are a good number of entries. It would also be a good place to meet other people involved in community-based research who are interested in ethical issues. Ken
