As director of the UI IGPA Office of Public Leadership (OPL), I design and execute education programs for state, municipal, and county officials. I am interested in ethics education for public leaders and senior agency staff as they govern, make decisions and implement public policy. In addition to my administrative duties, I have been a regular presenter in OPL’s leadership programs on topics involving ethics and have taught a course as an adjunct professor at the UI College of law on legislation and the political process. Currently, I am preparing a session on ethics for county officials and exploring the possibility of providing online ethics training for local government officials and staff.
